Today is Saturday, May 23rd, and it is the second day without any internet here at the house.
I am writing all this down in Notepad until we get internet back on Monday between 1-5 PM.
It really figures that today of all days Juliana decides to sleep until about 8:00, and I was awake before 7:00. Because this house is so small, any type of cleaning I do while she is sleeping just wakes her up. So I usually wait until Ray is home to do anything. Which I know probably annoys him, but he is just going to have to deal with it until we move into our new house.
Hopefully then with the bedrooms on one side of the house and the kitchen, living room and dinning room on the other there will be a little less noise transmitted to her bedroom.
Well, I just tried giving her oatmeal for the seventh time a lil' bit ago; both the oatmeal and rice cereal are a no go. I know it is said to try feeding new foods to her at least 10 times before giving up, or to simply not give up at all. Guess what, I am. It is the only food so far that she seems to completely hate. Besides it kinda stops her up anyway. I may trying it again later on, or just wait until she can eat real oatmeal. I kinda understand Jules not liking the oatmeal cereal right now. I have tasted it, and the rice. They are both rather gross.
I have tried the carrots and peas too. They are not bad, but as much as I love
carrots and peas I am glad no one is making ME eat just carrots, peas or the like for
2-3 meals a day for 4-5 days! LOL
You should have seen her reaction to the first serving of peas yesterday afternoon. It was so funny. I was actually laughing at her. Now she never actually started crying and pitching a fit while I was feeding them to her like she does with the cereals, but she had this "Ewwwww Mom" look on her face. She would open her mouth for them, but as soon as she got a taste of them, she would get that look on her face then start chewing on her fingers. As if to say "Momma right now my fingers taste much better than THAT stuff!" I could only get her to eat about a quarter of a serving before she just plain refused to keep swallowing. LOL
The second time giving Juliana the peas, at Ray's Mom and Dad's house, yesterday evening she ate all but a quarter of a serving; a much better reaction I would say.
Tomorrow, is Emily's (Ray's Brother's daughter) birthday party, and Emily has invited Juliana hehe. Emily will actually be 4 years old on Monday (May 25). We still need to wrap it, but we got her a Super Spiral Sprinkler. You can see it HERE. You hook it up to a water hose then as the water comes up there are 4 balls you place in the shoot and they pop up with the water.
Then sometime at the end of June- beginning of July Isabella will be joining this world! Isabella (Bella) is Jeremy and Amanda's (Emily's parents) second child.
Emily likes the idea of being a big sister, but I am not so sure she understands the
situation hehe.
Also, from what I hear, my third cousin will be joining this world on or around
August 31st!! I am told it is going to be a boy. Aunt Maggie told me just a lil' bit
ago what his name probably will be, but it is a name I have not heard before. I will have to ask her again; is a beautiful Irish name.
This is my cousin Mike's first child and my Aunt Maggie's first grandchild! I am so
excited for them all. I truly am. I am hoping I get to see pictures!!! hehe Mike will make such a great Dad. I have not met his fiancee, but I am sure she is wonderful too! Maybe I will get to meet her when we go to Florida in July.
