Juliana -4 Months Old on Mother's Day

Juliana turned four months old on Mother's Day!! Which, by the way, I hope everyone had a wonderful one! I did!

We went to church. We all ended up at one of the Chinese restaurants here in town for lunch. Then hung out playing with Juliana, and whatever else the rest of the day at Ray's Mom and Dad's. Not a real hyped up day, but fairly relaxing.

Yesterday (May 11th at 3:40 PM) Juliana got her 4 month shots. So being that it was Monday (a WWE wrestling night) we headed over to her Paw-paw's right after the appointment soon she was sound asleep in her Paw-paw's arms.

She was actually bouncing a little bit in her jumper/bouncer (the ones that you 'chip' to hang in a doorway). after she woke up from her nap.

Juliana weighs 14 lbs. 3 oz; When we buy diapers again we will be buying size 2. She is 23 1/4 inches long/tall (about 6 more inches and she will be half as tall as me). I hope for her sake she gets to be more like her Daddy's height than mine lol.

She is mostly on track with all her developmental skills:

-Holds head high when on her stomach
-Steady head control (she is so strong)
*Rolls over -She has not really done that yet. She rolls from on her back/stomach to he right and left sides, but she has not completely rolled over yet. Which is fine. I am not going to 'worry' about it. She will in her own time.
-Plays with hands and holds them mid-line. May put hands in mouth. *For her this is an understatement she put anything she gets a hold of in her mouth.
-Follows objects 180 degrees. *Boy, does she!
-Smiles, coos, laughs *the only time she is not doing one of the three (if not all at once) is when she is crying for food. She has been smiling even in her sleep since she was a few days old.

Some other things she does the doctor's office did not list on this paper are:

She basically sits up on her own. Ray had her sitting up in his lap by herself without any help on Mother's Day.
1HERE, 2HERE, 3HERE, 4HERE, 5HERE, 6HERE,7HERE are all the good pictures we took on Mother's Day.

While holding her hands she walks short distances switching feet. (but if you get her excited and giggling she starts to fall, it is so cute!

While on the floor or wherever she uses her feet to push off of or away from objects. Not to mention all the things she does that I cannot think of off the top of my head right now.

So no worries here! She is doing awesome!

Today, at about 11:00 AM she had her first lil' bit of rice cereal. The doctor said to give her the rice cereal once a day. Then slowly start her on stage 1 baby food. Most of her meals will still be milk though. Today I was told just to do a 'trial run' with the cereal (1 tbsp worth of cereal). She was none too happy. She was crying at me. "Momma, where's my FOOD. Have you lost your mind." But as I give her more cereal tomorrow she may want less formula afterward. We will see, as it sits right now, this is gonna be fun! LOL ;)

She, of course is sleeping now and has been for most of the day. Poor thing the shots must really do a number on her.
