Flood Waters and Hurricane Seasons

The following has occured to me over the last few days:
 1. I have always been correct in my ''predictions'' of the Hurricane Seasons' impacts on Louisiana since I moved here to Morgan City. There have been hurricanes that threatened/or succeeded in destroying parts of Louisiana every OTHER year since I moved here. Last year's hurricane season was an "OTHER year." We had a couple come this way, but without in real threat to anyone  (at least that I can recall- please do not jump down my throat if I am wrong). This is a good thing, sure. But I found it rather odd in the same aspects.

2. Now with all the flooding that is/will happen, I understand why the Mother Nature held off last year. As if saying,"Okay, I gave you a break last year. Because of what was going to happen this year even before the start of Hurricane Season."

3. Here's hoping Mother Nature decides to give the states a break DURING hurricane season. There will already be so much cleaning up to do. (Not that I wish a hurricane to hit anyone at all)This is not suppose to be a bad year for hurricanes according to the pattern of recent years...but...It makes me wonder.
